TrackMMO Privacy Policy

Effective November 5, 2026 · Applies to the TrackMMO browser extension for Chrome and Firefox

The short version: TrackMMO has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your watchlist, journal and settings stay in your browser. If you choose to sign in, I store only what's needed for your account, your comments and your synced data. I never sell your data.

Who runs TrackMMO

TrackMMO is an independent project made by Sp1ke. You can reach me at [email protected].

Data stored only in your browser

Without an account, everything stays on your device in the extension's own storage:

Your watchlist, compare list and MMO journal
Your private playtest notes
Your settings (theme, notifications and so on)
A cached copy of the public game list

You can export or clear this data at any time in TrackMMO → Settings. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.

Data stored when you sign in (optional)

Signing in with Discord or Twitch is optional. It is needed to post comments, vote and sync across devices. When you sign in, TrackMMO stores:

Account details from Discord or Twitch: your username, avatar and email address. Your username and avatar are shown next to your comments; your email is never shown.
Profile: the nickname you choose and, if you upload one, your profile picture. Both are public to other TrackMMO users.
What you post: comments, replies, playtest reports you share, hype votes, poll votes, reactions, and games you follow in the community. Comments and shared reports are public to other TrackMMO users.
Synced data (only if you use cloud sync): your watchlist, journal and settings, so they appear on your other devices.

TrackMMO never sees your Discord or Twitch password. Sign-in happens on Discord's or Twitch's own page.

Services TrackMMO uses

Supabase hosts TrackMMO's database and sign-in. Account data and posts are stored there.
Discord and Twitch handle sign-in when you choose them.
Steam: the extension asks Steam's public API for player counts and news for games on the list. No personal data is sent.
IGDB provides game information and cover images. Images load from IGDB's servers.

Opening a trailer, news article or official game website takes you to that site, which has its own privacy policy.

Website badges (optional, off by default)

If you turn on website badges in Settings and allow access, TrackMMO reads the game or page title on Steam, Reddit and YouTube pages to check whether it matches a game on the list. The check happens inside the extension. Nothing about the pages you visit is stored or sent anywhere.

Notifications

Release reminders are created on your device from your watchlist. You can turn them off in Settings.

What TrackMMO never does

Sell, rent or trade your data
Show ads or use advertising or analytics trackers
Track your browsing history
Use your data for anything other than running TrackMMO

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself at any time: TrackMMO → Profile → Delete account. The deletion happens 3 days later, so you can change your mind and keep your account until then. After that, your profile, comments, votes and synced data are permanently removed. You can also email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, and I'll delete it within 30 days. Moderators may remove comments that break the community rules.

Children

TrackMMO is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not intended for them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
